‘Bad Nashers’ has arrived!

Bad Nashers logoToday the new music-style NHS video ‘Bad Nashers’ went live on YouTube!

Filmed at Coventry University, the video hopes to promote students and young people to sign up to an NHS dentist. In the video Ladie Go’Diva is a party girl with a horrible teeth problem. Desperate to gain the attention of a guy she signs up to an NHS dentist and gets the treatment she needs.

Despite focusing on students in Coventry the makers of the video hope it will become viral and reach young people across the country. They even hope similar music videos can be made in future for other NHS services.

“This tongue in cheek approach aims to break down some of the myths around NHS dentists,” says Kerrie Woods, Senior Commissioning manager at NHS Coventry.

“We find 18 to 24-year-olds are among the least likely to visit a dentist. At this age, your dental appointments have stopped being booked by your parents but you might not have got into the habit of making arrangements yourself.”

Dental treatment is free if you are under 18 years of age and if you are in full-time education up to 19 years of age. If you need help with finding an NHS dentist in Coventry contact the free dental line on 0800 051 1310.

As well as YouTube, you can also follow Ladie Go’Diva on Twitter  and Facebook and the video has also been emailed to over 10,000 students. You can also go to her very own web page for more information.

Watch the video and pass on the message!
