Longleat Safari Park

29 Aug

Gillian, me, Gemma and Ashley outside the adventure playgroundI took full advantage of the Bank Holiday on Monday and spent the day at Longleat Safari Park with my friends Gemma, Gillian and Richard and Gemma’s daughter, Ashley.

Longleat is a very big attraction in the UK and comprises of a safari park and an adventure park.

The Safari Park

When we arrived at Longleat the safari park was the first attraction we went to. You drive along a one way road which takes you through various animal enclosures including giraffes, deer, rhinos, monkeys and lions. The most notorious is the monkey enclosure where the monkeys are well known for jumping onto cars and ripping parts off which is exactly what happened when we went through. Below are some photos of the safari and two videos showing two close encounters.

The Adventure Park

The adventure park includes more animal enclosures, a jungle train, a jungle cruise which takes you past the gorillas and seals, a big adventure playground and a maze – which I got very lost in.
