London Aquarium: Discount hunting pays off

17 Apr

I love discounts and special offers so when I turned over a cardboard box and saw a cut out coupon for 2for1 at any Merlin attraction, I couldn’t believe my luck.

Most people my age probably would have chosen Thorpe Park but Tom and I chose the London Aquarium. I love sea life and the ocean contains some of the world’s most extraordinary creatures, from giant star fish to ancient sea turtles. The London Aquarium includes many of these creatures and also includes animals such as penguins and crocodiles.

Here are some photos from our trip. Flash photography isn’t allowed so you’ll have to excuse the dark pictures.

The stingray tank

Can you spot the 'glass fish'?

A piranha came to say hello

A Cuban crocodile

I just love the detail on a sea turtle's shell

No, it's not an octopus. This is a 'Giant Sea Star'

The aquarium even has a special ice-cold penguin section

Du-nun, du-nun...

Thank you, most of them were taken my boyfriend though as I’m crap at photography even when it’s light and there are no fast swimming creatures. I “directed” shall we say
