Getting crafty! Part 1

27 Sep

On Day 266 I mentioned a new project I’m starting. Last week I ordered a batch of plain white single cupcake boxes to decorate and give away as gifts. Everyone knows I love to bake but now I’m turning my hand to crafts – something I’ve never been particularly good at. That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy it though and I am a very creative person with loads of creative ideas. It’s just making them into what I see in my head that’s the problem.

I’ve decided to take this project slowly and start with easy, simple designs. It also means I’m saving money. Despite thinking craft bits are relatively cheap and easy to acquire it turns out they’re actually quite expensive so I decided to get some small and inexpensive decorative items to begin with, just enough to decorate two boxes.

So here it is. My first attempt of being crafty. Hopefully a new hobby in the making. The leftover bits and bobs have been added to my little craft collection and I look forward to trying new ideas out in future. Watch this space.

How fun, Megan! I wonder where you were able to purchase those bags. Those would be great for holiday baking. I’ll be curious about part 2. Nice work, my friend.

I brought them from http://cupcakeboxesuk.com/cupcake-boxes/single-cupcake-boxes.html but they’re a British company so I don’t know if they ship over seas. I want to be more inventive with the next few and they would make great Halloween and Christmas treats. I think that’s going to be my focus
